As far as flirting is concerned, men are close to being pathetic. Lets be honest here, guys, we know we have yet to master the art of flirting. Well, here are a few useful tips to help you by.

Girls watch your body and listen to what you are speaking

This is very important. Therefore, you will have to learn how to maintain a good posture and what your posture conveys. Besides that, starting from where your eyes are to what you are saying, it all matters. Read on and find out how.

Let your posture communicate

It is important to keep a good posture. You can stick your chest out while arching your back. Do not overdo it though. Do not stand any farther than about 2 feet from your girl. You do not want to encroach upon her space while also making sure you are standing closer than where you normally might.

Keep an open position

Do not cross arms or even put hands in pockets. These are close positions and you do not want her to think you are not interested. Alternatively, you can do a little test. Take a step back. Watch if she does the same. If she follows you then she’s definitely in.

Flirt with your eyes

You can give her potent “stares of desire.” You can even have her heart go racing by giving her a naughty lusty stare. If you happen to walk by some girl who you like, then give her a 3-4 second stare. Now, glance away slowly. It is important to be slow. As you are starting to look away, smile. She will understand.

Be careful with the touch

Men always have to be careful in this area. While it is alright to touch the girl’s arm or shoulder while talking, you do not want to overdo it.

Be confident

Girls like their guys to go for what they desire. Do not act like a frightened puppy. If she is looking great, tell her. She’ll love it.

Talk sensible

If you are doing the right thing in all the above then what you speak will not matter so much. However, keep away from anything too serious keep the talk light. You can flatter her and complement her on her appearance or even on how well she performed on the oral report or a good game. You can playfully tease her. Simply send out the right signals.

Some mental cues

Be sure to look confident. It matters a lot. Feel in control and do not show you are nervous. A secure and confident man is certainly a turn on.

Being in a positive frame of mind and being full of energy is necessary to be effective as a flirt.

If you are worried about where you should go for a first date, then stop worrying and read on. Think creatively and then decide where you would like to go for your first date. I always like to think about new ideas, so here are some for you.

Instead of trying to go for something that any one of you already does or enjoys, you can be adventurous and try something absolutely new. It will mark the beginning of your relationship with excitement and adventure.

Everybody goes for a dinner or movie, why not something else. Here are some great ideas.

Skydiving

If both of you are not afraid of heights then, both of you should try this one. What could be more exciting or exhilarating than standing together in the door of an open plane, ready to jump? It has loads of adventure along with a unique romantic appeal to it. Call your local airport and see if they can help you with this.

Hookah Cafes

If you have never tried Middle Eastern cuisine or the hookah, then this is surely worth a try. If either of you is health conscious then you might not enjoy this, however, it works well for a first date. The atmosphere is typically cozy and laid back. You can smoke hookah, enjoy delicious coffee, eat a little and have a great conversation.

Art galleries or conventions

If you love art, then this is the place to be. You can even read up a little on the art exhibited and impress your date with your knowledge. You can walk around appreciating art while the music plays on. It can be really romantic and appealing to an art lover.

Live comedy

You can even hit your local comedy club. You can treat yourself with some good laughs and that will also work as a great ice breaker for you.

Wine tasting

If you have close access to vineyards, then take a tour or go for wine tasting. It can be really fun. Sipping some great wines can be a great way to have a nice conversation. Besides, the ambience of a beautiful vineyard will work wonders for you.

Scuba diving

Now, if you live near a beach, then what could be more fun than scuba diving? Go for a dive in the water, admire the sea life and follow it up with a great dinner on the seaside. These are the ingredients of true romance.

Book signings or Poetry readings

Anybody will love to listen to poetry and so these make nice first dates. If you want to take a step further, you can even read a piece yourself at the poetry reading. This will certainly score you some points. You can go for book signings even if you are not an avid reader in particular. You can make some decent conversation over coffee and also enjoy the dramatic reading by the author.

Striking up interesting dating conversations…

You are on a date. You start off fine, you even find some great compliments for her. But then, half way through, none of you can find anything else to talk about. Nothing could be worse than running dry on your conversation on your date.

The rest of your date will drift by slowly, marked by a few unsuccessful attempts to start a new conversation alternating between stretched out periods of silence. By the time, your date ends, both of you know that you are not seeing the other again.

Awkward silences are killers anywhere, but especially so for dating. Besides, you bear the loss of not only a potential relationship but also an evening. The worst part is that most dates could have done without such silences.

You need to understand this. A date is no way different compared to any other element of your life. Whatever you are doing, it is simply not possible that you have nothing to say or nothing to talk about.

In case, you find that you are running out of anything to talk, then go for some easy topic. Focus on your date, where you are eating or what you are eating. You can talk about what you feel about the food or the ambience or the movie that just watched.

Once you get started, you will soon branch out into other areas and before long, and you will be complaining that time is flying. An interesting way to gauge the quality of your conversation is to see how much laughter is there between you. Both of you are laughing means that you are comfortable with each other and are enjoying each other’s company.

If there is anything worse than an awkward stretched silence, then it is either of you trying too hard to break the silence, you can make stupid jokes, talk about useless stuff and make a complete fool of yourself

Now, you should know to differentiate between silences; while they can be awkward, they can also reflective or comfortable. A comfortable or reflective silence is in fact, even better than laughter when it comes to predicting the outcome of your date; you can certainly expect many positive things out of this date.

The worst thing you can do to break the silence is to go on and on about how good and wonderful you happen to be. While it is alright to talk a bit about yourself, you should also remember to keep including your date in. You should leave them out.

If you happen to notice that your date is keeping too quiet, then you can start an open conversation so that they can get involved.
